2 years later he proposed with the same ring in a less
exquisite location to another lady in the suburbs of Enugu. His heart stopped
for a while not knowing what to expect.
Tears filled her eyes when she raised him from kneeling and
gave him a big hug and a peck on his cheek. He heard her say 'I will' an
overwhelming emotion engulfed him.
He didn't know when he asked her "are you
sure?"... With a reassuring tearful smile she said 'Yes I will marry me'.
1 year later in Paris; he asked his wife on the night of
their wedding what made her accept his proposal knowing the cost of the ring
was not worth much...
She said "I saw beyond the value of the ring but the
value of a heart that truly cherished and is committed to me"
Perspective is everything. You may not have the best of
everything at the moment but those who are grateful and enjoy life's best start
by having the right mindset or perspective
