TRIBUTE TO KEFEE

You know what, call it self-deception but I choose to stick to what my belief.

I was hoping for a miracle, praying every chance I got as you journeyed to the other side

I tell emerging artistes what you told me whenever I get a chance; to maximize every opportunity to do a free show or ministration portraying the old truth…

“If you see a man diligent in his business he will stand before kings and not ordinary men”

Simplicity was your hallmark and your openness was exceedingly transparent

You worked hard giving everything your best yet, contentment was your watchword.

I always wanted to hear DC Envoys after their split and you shared how important it was getting them back to feature in Who Get Ear ft DC Envoys, Akpororo.

You did your best anyways and improvised where you had to but trust me, you are a seeker of peace.

You wanted to bring people together as much as possible – which showed in everything you did.

I told Anny a few days ago, that to me you are still alive – in my heart I guess in our hearts at large.

I fight my tears from falling but I believe you are in a better place called heaven a better side of life.

As for my belief you are still alive, as in our hearts; memories of you continue to live.

SPILL...

On that fateful day, I woke up to see a world that's up-side-down.

The earth surface displaced the clouds and a busy city, the stars.

I discovered a pleasant soothing beneath my feet, tender yet firm
Just when I thought the sun and moon were out of sight

Carefully resting on the clouds, I dared a leap after a gentle stride

Hence I spill my MonAmi of Mon’Amie

a sun flip side moon

Masculinity in the purest feminine form like summer in winter jacket. An emblem of beauty and bravery, brains braided with humility
Blessed are you and he who harbours your treasures of gold in frames of silver
