An Ode to an Angel Left Behind

To what do you ascribe such resplendent bliss?
Or whom do you accord such emblem of grace?
Once upon a former that transcends the latter
A story often retold without losing its savor
Ordinary tale of moments like raindrops
Flooding a world with sparkles of delight
An account of fragile infant steps of companionship
Today competes with hearts and blood’s bond
This prime glory I ascribe to the Master Architect
A perfected plan of a future before its existence

God left me an angel, God left me you.
